Why Amanda Speaks in the Third Person (and it is not for the crazy, self-absorbed reasons that may come to mind)

I love facebook status updates that begin "Amanda is . . ." It makes me think in the third person which is always very mentally healthful.

Amanda is excited to go to Seattle and get a tattoo so that she can see her dad kick David in the balls!
